I don’t think people realize how much classic literature is just available free online

It gets me bc I’ve read so much stuff I wouldn’t have gotten my hands on if it weren’t for googling project gutenberg(whatever thing) and it’s often just. There.

I don’t think “there’s no excuse in not reading it” bc classic lit and reading in general isn’t everyone’s cup of tea igi but when people are talking about booktok and binge buying like 100 books a year im like damn that sounds pointless expensive and exhausting meanwhile I’ve read so much folklore and weird existentialist literature and famous short stories that are all just, there, online, free, and there’s always an active crowd of people open to talking about these things that doesn’t just blow over once fandom hype or controversy fizzles out, idk man.

Why not like. Try reading some stuff that hasn’t come out in the past 10 years. Oftentimes your fav shows make references to these things in a way that’ll make you actively ill to think about like it’s fun

Friends I am loving writing this so much so far!! It's already 4k and I still have so much planned for it! I don't usually post fics before they're finished but I couldn't help myself, I have to share it!
